Fresh Perspective

The Communication Design curriculum at the University of Houston-Victoria is built around a sequence of contemporary design courses that offer a fresh perspective on the field. The courses required for the major begin sophomore year when students take two sets of paired courses: Design History and Typography in the fall; Design Theory and Digital Design in the spring. Juniors and seniors continue the core sequences and also have the opportunity to take advanced electives in Digital Gaming & Simulation, Communication, Marketing, or Humanities. The students’ experience culminates during the senior year with an internship at one of UHV’s partner organizations and the Senior Seminar.
