Texas Public Education Grants (TPEG)

This program is administered by the university. Limited grant funding from the TPEG program is  available to both undergraduate and graduate students. Students must also meet the general eligibility requirements. Applications are processed on a first-completed, first-awarded basis.  Awards are up to $500 per term. 

Resident Texas Public Education Grants

Undergraduate students demonstrating unmet financial need of $2,000 or more, have an Expected Family Contribution less than $1,500, and enrolled at least half-time at UHV will be considered for this grant.  

Graduate students will need to have an Expected Family Contribution less than $1,000, demonstrate financial need of $2,000 or more, and be enrolled at least half-time at UHV.  Students eligible to pay Texas resident tuition may be eligible for the Resident Texas Public Education Grant.

Non-Resident Texas Public Education Grants

Students who are paying nonresident tuition may be eligible for the Non-Resident Texas Public Education Grant.  Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at least half-time and demonstrating financial need of $2000 or more may be eligible for the Non-Resident Texas Public Education Grant.
