Master Education in Administration & Supervision with an Emphasis on the Superintendency

This degree is optimally designed for those wishing Superintendency who do not already possess an M.Ed. degree.  These might include those who have come via alternative certification, advanced into principalship, and now wish to earn their superintendency certification as well as an education-related masters degree, or those who will rise to superintendent certification via the new TEA-approved alternative certification route via the administrative (fiscal/physical/legal) management of a district.

Offered in face-to-face, hybrid, or fully online formats, the Master Education in Administration & Supervision with an Emphasis on the Superintendency is designed for working professionals, giving you the flexibility you need to gain certification while still working full time. You will take classes from active or former superintendents through Canvas, an online interactive learning management system that will allow you to connect with peers as well as other educational administrative professionals. Your certification will culminate in the TExES #195 Superintendent Exam.

  • A valid Texas Principal Certificate or alternative experience as defined by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
