GMAT Waiver Policy
Applicants to graduate business programs may receive a waiver for the GMAT when applying for initial admission, provided the applicant falls into one of the following categories:
- The applicant has completed a graduate or professional degree (i.e., a degree beyond a four-year baccalaureate degree) from an accredited college or university; OR
- The applicant has a current GRE score (less than 5 years old) of 292 or higher (verbal and quantitative sections combined); OR
- The applicant has an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 hours of coursework from an accredited college or university; OR
- The applicant has (i) an undergraduate GPA of 2.50-2.99 or higher in the last 60 hours of coursework from an accredited college or university AND (ii) earns a grade of B or better in the first 9 hours of graduate business coursework.
For applicants who do not fall into one of the above categories, GMAT scores sufficient for meeting the university admission index are required for graduate admission.
Review for GMAT waivers is automatic during the admission application review process. The student does not need to request a review.
