UHV students place in programming competition
April 17, 2019

Rogerio da Silva, UHV assistant professor of gaming and computer science, second from left; stands with his students Saturday after the team ranked 13th out of 31 teams during the International Collegiate Programming Contest at Texas State University in San Marcos. Members of the UHV team, named Runtime Terror, were students Estrella Candia, left, Randall Jasek, Itzel Juarez and Jose Alvarez. The contest is a competitive programming sport that provides students with opportunities to interact, demonstrate and improve their teamwork, programming and problem-solving skills to become computing professionals.
