Unit Excellence Funds

Academic Affairs Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within Academic Affairs.

Budget Office Unit Excellence Fund: To support and show appreciation for Budget Office staff and operations. Expenditures at the discretion of the Budget Director.

Business Services Unit Excellence: Funds focused towards the greatest needs with Business Services.

Centro Victoria Fundraising: Funds focused towards the greatest needs within the Center for Mexican American Literature and Culture.

Citizens National Bank Margin of Excellence Endowment: Awarded at the president’s discretion toward greatest needs.

Faculty Development Quasi-Endowment: Provides faculty support at UHV.

Faculty Research Endowment: To support faculty members who can broaden course offerings, spearhead new research, and increase linkages with the community. May be spent by the selected faculty member(s) on, but not limited to, research, professional development, travel, library materials, office/clerical support, salary enhancement or other activities deemed to enrich and enhance UHV. The UHV president will have administrative control over the distributed income.

Fiction Collective Two Endowment: Program Support. Operational support can include, but is not limited to, staff salaries and wages; operating expenses, such as costs involved with design, layout, printing, distribution and mailing; marketing; and other miscellaneous costs associated with the program. The dean of the School of Arts & Sciences will have administrative control over the distributed income, but control will be exercised in consultation with and subject to the approval of the chairman of the FC2 Board of Directors.

Finance Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within Finance.

First Capital Bank Endowment: Awarded at the president’s discretion toward greatest needs.

Human Resources Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within Human Resources.

Information Technology Academic Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within Information Technology.

LEAD Program Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within the LEAD program.

Library Fundraising: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within the Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library as determined by the director of libraries.

Library Unit Excellence Scholarship: Awarded to a student worker in the VC/UHV Library. Student must be enrolled at least half time with a minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA and a minimum 3.0 graduate GPA.

Marketing & Communications Unit Excellence Fund: To support and show appreciation for Marketing & Communications staff and operations. Expenditures at the discretion of the Director of Marketing & Communications.

Provost Lecture Series: An opportunity for UHV and Victoria to explore and discuss topics of vital importance to diverse, healthy societies and engage with nationally renowned researchers and scholars.

Psychology Unit Excellence: Funds focused towards the greatest needs within the Psychology Department.

School of Arts & Sciences Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs in the School of Arts & Sciences.

School of Business Administration Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs in the School of Business Administration.

School of Education, Health Professions & Human Development Excellence Fund: Funds focused toward the greatest needs in the School of Education, Health Professions & Human Development.

School of Nursing Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within the School of Nursing.

Staff Council Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within the Staff Council.

Student Affairs Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within Student Affairs.

Student Life Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within Student Life.

Student Senate Unit Excellence: Funds focused toward the greatest needs within the Student Senate.
